After being misdiagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy and undergoing unnecessary surgery to remove her temporal lobe Carrie finally received a correct diagnosis of HH in 2013 at the age of 30. She suffers with daily gelastic and complex partial seizures.
Carrie has worked in the accountancy industry for 12 years and is a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians.

Sue’s daughter Faith, was diagnosed during a routine antenatal scan, however, her seizures were not recognized until she was three months old. During this time she was continually in and out of status, due to the amount of seizure activity she was experiencing. Faith had surgery at the age of 3 years in Alder Hay children’s hospital Liverpool.
Sue is a Paediatric Nurse, qualifying in 2003 and presently working in her local general hospital.

Susie’s son Nathan was diagnosed with HH in 2014 at the age of 5. He suffers from gelastic and complex partial seizures and emotional difficulties.
Susie has recently qualified as a Special Constable in the Metropolitan Police Force and is also a volunteer teaching assistant at her local school.

Sarah’s daughter Teri-Leigh was diagnosed with HH in 2015 at the age of 9. She has Precocious Puberty and emotional difficulties.
Sarah is a full time mum to four children and works t her local school as a lunch time supervisor.
