A Little About Aimee:
From a very young age I knew I was meant for a life in science and being able to support those in need. I spent extra time throughout my years trying to figure out ways to lend a helping hand, and in more recent years with extra time being sparse, such times have been far and few between. I have no direct link to HH, no related family members or loved ones have been diagnosed with this rare disease. It wasn’t until a friend-turned-family member’s sister-in-law had an unusual finding on an ultrasound during pregnancy. Michelle’s perseverance as a caretaker and her drive to find help and a proper diagnosis for her son, Jaxon, has been an absolute inspiration. Watching her mother and raise two other children, along with Jaxon, with the amount of patience and resilience has been an absolute honor. It was because of her that I was introduced to Hope for HH. I am eager to help families share their stories and help others gain a better sense of community and realize they aren’t alone.
